One of the leading providers of executive charter operations and pilot training in North Rhine-Westphalia has found a new owner in the Schürmann Group. For its part, the previous shareholder TRM is concentrating on non-aviation activities. With the new shareholder, Star Wings creates the entrepreneurial basis for further growth both in flight operations and in the flight school for (professional) pilots.

With currently 7 aircraft in the Rhine-Ruhr, Würzburg/Nuremberg and Erfurt regions, Star Wings Dortmund Luftfahrtgesellschaft mbH offers a wide range of aircraft, from high-performance turboprops (King Air – for short runways and cargo flights, for example) to jets from the Cessna Citation and Pilatus families. Star Wings thus provides connections to around 1,500 large and small airports in Europe.

Individual and customer-oriented support for bookings and flights is a natural part of the overall package for optimizing travel times, with safety, flexibility and customer discretion always taking top priority.
Another important pillar of the company is the operation of a flight school with its own CJ 3 Full Flight Simulator Level D. A wide range of courses and individual training for the Cessna Citation 525 and the Beech King Air family provides pilots with highly efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly training. The simulator is made available to interested airlines as part of a dry lease. The company also offers further training courses for a wide range of aircraft types.
Star Wings also takes on all necessary aircraft management tasks for owners of private aircraft. This includes the creation of concepts for the operation of an aircraft, the provision of experienced crews, the optimization of insurance concepts, the coordination of professional maintenance and advice on the purchase or sale of an aircraft.
